Program Goals
This 2nd chapter of the Reviving Indigenous Kinship Experience is designed to supplement the fortitude of the home family structure - regardless of its blend, shape, style, size, and design.
2.0 is designed to explore Liberation-Based approaches to support the development of children during times of social injustice such as the continued attempts of genocide, colonization, assimilation, oppression, and the commodification of land.
Program Description
The prevalence of climate change with increased natural disasters, current and future pandemics, and the extinction of species is contributing to a world of uncertainty.
On top of environmental changes and the potential collapse of systems, children and youth are experiencing increased exposure to negative influences such as drugs, alcohol, and social pressures that are founded on human toxicity.
It is absolutely vital that spaces are created, provided, and maintained which cultivate and prepare the next generation for a world that will require resources and tools to for a relentless, steadfast, practice of liberation - within our kinship systems.
This program is designed to facilitate and supplement some of these tools and resources.
